Robert Martone is a research scientist with expertise in neurodegeneration, neuro-oncology, biomarkers, and drug discovery. His career has taken him from Columbia University to the pharmaceutical and biotech industry to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He has collaborated with and advised government and non-profit organizations including the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Alzheimer's Association, and the International Life Sciences Institute’s Health and Environmental Sciences Institutes. He also enjoys Italian Renaissance literature; his translations have been published by Italica Press (Renaissance Comic Tales of Love Treachery & Revenge, and Antonio Manetti's The Fat Woodworker).
